Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming industries worldwide, but skilled trades jobs remain among the careers least likely to be fully replaced by automation. Trades such as welding, plumbing, electrical work, HVAC, construction, pipefitting, and automotive repair require hands-on problem-solving, physical dexterity, adaptability, and real-time decision-making in unpredictable environments. While AI can assist with diagnostics, planning, and workflow optimization, it cannot easily replicate the practical expertise and on-site judgment that skilled trades professionals use every day. As a result, demand for trained tradespeople continues to grow despite rapid advances in technology.
