We will pass through the highest motor able Passes of the world with snow walls, picturesque locations of the villages of Spiti Valley to scattered remote areas of the Ladakh villages. The excellent uniformity of the three primary colors of the topography of Spiti Valley and Ladakh are brown earth, chocolaty mountains, and white snow topping. The sight of a flock of sheep and mountain goats in the background of glacial streams coming down from the gigantic mountains is a treat to the eyes. Spirituality in ancient monasteries, fantastic sunrise, and colorful sunsets, starry nights for stargazing, light and shadow dance on the mountains, a symphony of crashing waves of the mighty rivers with crystal clear aqua blue water, against the imposing backdrop of grand Himalayan Ranges, unique Tibetan oriented culture, Moon land like topography, photographer’s paradise, abundant wildlife, heaven for ornithologist, unique, Colorful festivals, pristine, shimmering high altitude lakes, double hump Bactrian camel safari in dunes, traditional music, and dance forms, local cuisine, rugged barren mighty mountain ranges to meadows, lakes, gardens and fruit orchards of Kashmir. On this day, we will catch a train for Kalka. From there, we will board Toy Train (A World Heritage Site) to Shimla.
The British built the toy train to connect the plains to the summer capital, which was Shimla. It traverses through beautiful stations with unique architecture. The journey is picturesque as the train travels through numerous tunnels, a forest of Oak and Deodar on its side.
After reaching Shimla, transfer to the hotel. If time permits, we will be undertaking a walking tour of Shimla. Overnight stay will be in Shimla.
