Top 10 Animation Dubbing Studios in the US (2026)

Author : Pratham Singh | Published On : 06 Nov 2026

If you pop into any recording booth in Burbank on a weekday, there’s a high chance a character will be being dubbed that was originally illustrated in Tokyo/Paris/Seoul. The US is involved in both sides of the animation business. It exports a huge amount of cartoons but also imports thousands of hours of anime and international children’s content that needs dubbing into English. As a result, choosing an animation dubbing studio is a real business decision.

Below is a list of the studios used by producers, streamers, and YouTubers in the US in 2026. Some have their own studios in LA/Texas; others are international partners relied upon by US rights holders.

How We Chose These Studios

We focused on the following:

Animation dubbing experience: Are they known for dubbing specific series/anime/children’s channels?

Language coverage: Do they only offer English, or can they dub into multiple markets?

Security and file delivery: Do they offer secure dubbing platforms like TPN (Motion Picture Association’s Trusted Partner Network)? Deliver files to platforms. Long episode runs.

Consistency: Will they give the same voice to each character throughout the seasons? This is more important for animation.

Top 10 List of Dubbing Studios

1. Sukudo Studios: Sukudo Studios is a TPN-certified animation dubbing studio and localization company with 9 years of experience. We have dubbing capabilities into 90+ languages, with 500+ voice actors and over 25,000 projects completed. Our animations are all done in-house in our studio in New Delhi, so characters will always have the same voice and catchphrases throughout the 200 episodes. We provide the Hindi localizations for The Soul Publishing's Kids and Family channels on YouTube, including one channel with over 7 billion views in India. We are also an official localization partner for Masha and the Bear. A large portion of our work comes from major creators on YouTube who want to add multiple audio tracks in different languages. We also provide fast turnaround dubbing using AI dubbing developed by Sarvam AI but all character performances are directed by humans.

2. Iyuno

Iyuno is one of the biggest localization groups in Hollywood. Their global HQ in Burbank has over 52,000 sq ft of space, including 10 recording studios and Dolby Atmos mixing stages. They have produced English dubs for the Pokémon franchise. In 2023 they became the first studio to dub English unionized Pokémon dubs under the SAG-AFTRA agreement. They started with Pokémon Horizons: The Series. If you are a streamer wanting to release one title into dozens of languages, it’s difficult to beat Iyuno. (Sukudo are one of Iyuno’s dubbing vendors.)

3. Crunchyroll: Whilst Crunchyroll isn't technically a hire-out studio, they wouldn’t be complete without mentioning them here. Formerly Funimation, they have their main in-house dubbing studio in Coppell (a suburb of Dallas). They have a large dubbing team that does all the English ADR for the seasonal anime releases. In January 2026 a winter storm hit Dallas, meaning dubbing couldn’t happen, and several English-dubbed premieres (including Frieren Season 2) were delayed by 1-2 weeks.

4. Bang Zoom! Entertainment: Bang Zoom! Studios (founded in 1993 by Eric P. Sherman) have been providing English anime dubs for over 3 decades. They have dubbed everything from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and Lucky Star to Gurren Lagann. They also have experience with video games and original animation. They have won 2 Daytime Emmy Awards for sound mixing and sound editing for Lost in Oz (animated series). They also run ADR workshops for anime, meaning working actors come into their studios.

5. Dubbing Brothers: Dubbing Brothers was founded in France in 1989 and has become one of the most well-known dubbing groups in Europe. In the US they opened their post-production facility in LA in 2006 and have since upgraded their stages in Burbank on West Magnolia Boulevard. New studio monitoring was fitted mid-2026. They have dubbed series such as Phineas and Ferb and Camp Lazlo. As they are known for dubbing from Europe, almost all films and series get dubbed into the local language, which is attractive to US producers.

6. DUBnSUB: DUBnSUB operates as a network. Their US office is in Austin, Texas, whilst their HQ is in Gurugram, India. They have offices throughout Europe and Asia. Whilst they don’t have all the booths in-house, they have over 200 partner studios, meaning they can dub into 70+ languages. This is great for US companies with lots of short-form animation/educational content, as they can have one project manager overseeing many languages. With any network, make sure to check who will be doing the actual dubbing for your language and request samples from that specific studio.

7. ZOO Digital: ZOO Digital was founded in Sheffield, UK in 2001. Their Americas hub is in El Segundo, LA. There are 4 recording booths for English and foreign language dubbing. 2 Atmos mixing stages and a large editing/QC area. They are part of the Trusted Partner Network. Their main strength is software. They have cloud-based scripting and dubbing meaning translators, directors, and actors can work on the same episode from different countries. This is great for animation series needing to be released on the same day in several territories.

8. VSI Group: VSI is a London-based group with in-house studios in many countries. Their LA branch (Sherman Oaks) has grown quickly since opening in 2016. Originally they specialized in live action but have lots of animation work. They have dubbed English anime such as Aggretsuko, Komi Can’t Communicate, and the English version of Vinland Saga for Netflix. They also offer origination and pre-lay. This means they can provide the original voice track for new animation. This is really useful for American producers working with animation houses abroad.

9. SPG Studios: SPG Studios is a localization studio in LA with over 30 years of experience. They offer dubbing, voice-over, subtitling, and audio post in 50+ languages. Clients include Disney, HBO, Warner Bros., and PlayStation. They can also provide UN-style voice-over, voice-over replacement, and full lip-sync dubbing. If you’re looking for a medium-sized studio for animation (somewhere between entertainment and marketing), then this is a sensible choice.

10. Sound & Vision India: Founded in Mumbai in 1992 by Leela Roy Ghosh and her daughter, Mona Ghosh Shetty, Sound & Vision India is one of the oldest dubbing studios in India. They have dubbed Hollywood titles from Fantastic Four to Superman Returns into Hindi. They also offer dubbing into Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Malayalam, and Punjabi. If you are a US distributor wanting to take an animated feature to Indian cinema/TV, then this is important. Longer running studios tend to use the same voice for characters throughout sequels.

Animation Dubbing

Dubbing animation is generally easier for lip-sync, as the mouths are simpler shapes. However, everything else is much harder. Animation relies heavily on wordplay, music, and on-screen text. There could be hundreds of episodes featuring the main character. When we cast a children’s series, the first thing we ask is who will be voicing this character in season 5? From our experience, changing the voice mid-season loses younger audiences quicker than almost anything.
