Top 10 Animation Dubbing Studios in India 2026

Ask any of us raised on Hungama or Cartoon Network, and we can tell you what Doraemon and Shin-chan sound like in Hindi. A good animation dubbing studio means that your work will be dubbed in a way that feels authentic rather than translated. In 2026, with anime becoming mainstream in India, children’s YouTube channels having multilingual audio, and global studios wanting to offer Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu from day one, this has become even more important.
This list shows 10 studios that provide animation and anime dubbing services for the Indian market or to take Indian content abroad. Some have been around in Mumbai for 30 years and have dubbed some of the Hollywood films we’ve seen on TV. Others are more modern and have a structure suitable for streaming and short-form animation. A few are international studios with an Indian presence. We’ve listed out what each is good for so you can select the right one.
What makes a good animation dubbing studio in 2026?
Dubbing animation is very different from live-action dubbing. There is no real lip syncing involved, but a lot of animation involves exaggerated mouth shapes, fast-paced comedy, and singing. Characters often yell, squeak, and whisper. This means cartoon dubbing needs to be consistent for years so children can tell when their favorite character doesn’t sound right.
The studios that perform well in 2026 tend to:
Have voices that match the character: if you’re dubbing Doraemon in Hindi, you need to find someone with a warm and silly voice.
Have native writers adapt the script: jokes, puns, and food references will be adapted to make sense to Indian children.
Be consistent through the seasons: use the same artists and glossary of names and catchphrases.
Have song and lyrics adapted: many children’s shows and anime opening themes require song adaptation.
Have security: major studios and platforms now require certification such as the MPA’s Trusted Partner Network (TPN).
Fast delivery: with streaming and YouTube content, studios will need to deliver full seasons of content in multiple languages.
Anime dubbing in India can be tricky, as fans will know the Japanese versions well and will instantly recognize a poor dub. This has therefore improved the quality of the industry.
Why it’s more important in 2026
Crunchyroll started Hindi dubbing in July 2022 and now has over 200 titles dubbed into Hindi. In 2026 they’ve really ramped it up and are dubbing into Hindi, Tamil and Telugu for their winter, spring, and summer seasons. They have also dubbed some of their older hits such as Naruto Shippuden, and produced a new 3-language dub of Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood since 27th July. They have also partnered with Sony LIV in May 2026 to help reach more Indian viewers with an add-on subscription.
Netflix has also announced their biggest regional language anime slate for India this summer. Ani-One India have started streaming Hindi dubbed anime on YouTube with Jujutsu Kaisen. All of this requires a studio, and buyers are now looking for studios that are good at dubbing anime in India.

We looked at each studio’s public history of providing animation and anime dubbing, languages they speak, security and recent announcements. This was based on information from the studio’s website, official documents, trade press and public credits. You can see the sources at the bottom.

How to Choose the Right Dubbing Studio
There isn’t one best dubbing service in India for every animation project. If you’re dubbing a feature film for cinema, you’ll need something different from a 300-episode YouTube series. Usually you can tell a good studio from a bad one by asking:
Can you hear a sample?
Ask for a short sample of one scene with 2-3 characters. Make sure the jokes are timed well
and the voices fit the age of the characters.
Who adapts the script?
Native writers who understand children’s humor and anime fans will spot issues that translators wouldn’t.
How will you ensure consistency?
Find out how they lock names, catchphrases, and casting between seasons.
Can you handle the songs?
Often the hardest part of dubbing for animation is the songs.
What is your security?
If you’re dubbing content that isn’t released yet, make sure they have TPN or similar
certification. Find out how they store and share files.
How quickly can you deliver?
Ask for a number of how long it would take to deliver your amount of episodes and languages.
What will we receive?
Make sure you know what you’ll receive. Dialogue stems, M&E, final mix, and file types required for your platform.
