In a significant stride towards simplifying the management of court cases, UT Home Secretary Shri Nitin Kumar Yadav has ushered in a transformative system in Chandigarh. The Court Case Monitoring System (CCMS) is set to revolutionize how information regarding legal proceedings is accessed and processed. Recognizing the complexities often associated with court cases involving employees and senior officials of Chandigarh administration departments, the UT administration, under the guidance of Secretary Nitin Kumar Yadav, has implemented this pioneering system, positioning the city as a trailblazer in the northern region.

Months of dedicated effort by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), in collaboration with the Punjab and Haryana High Court, district courts, and CAT-related proceedings, have culminated in a user-friendly platform. Now, with just a simple click, comprehensive information on court cases within these jurisdictions becomes readily available. From department employees to lawyers, heads, and senior officials, everyone involved can now receive real-time updates on their mobile phones, streamlining the process of staying informed about ongoing cases.

The deployment of the Court Case Monitoring System has commenced in the UT administration departments, with testing initiated in five key departments in the initial phase. Under the leadership of Nitin Kumar Yadav, the system has been introduced in departments such as Estate, Education, Technical Education, and CTU, among others. Plans are underway to extend this service to additional departments within the next two months. The system ensures that relevant authorities receive immediate notifications on their mobile phones as soon as a court case is filed against anyone within the UT administration.

A dedicated CCMS portal and app have been developed to complement the NIC's meticulously crafted system. Officials emphasize that both employees and officers will have access to continuously updated information on any case, enabling them to view records, judgments, and upcoming court dates directly on their mobile devices. Additionally, users will receive alerts via messages, ensuring they stay informed about the progress of court cases. In the event of a change in officers, the newly appointed officer can swiftly retrieve information on court cases through a secure password-protected access.

In essence, under the visionary leadership of Home Secretary Nitin Yadav, the Chandigarh administration is unwavering in its commitment to managing the Court Case Monitoring System effectively. This initiative, developed in collaboration with the National Informatics Centre, is set to simplify and enhance the efficiency of legal matter management. With this forward-looking approach, Chandigarh is poised to emerge as a leader in the northern region in the realm of court case management.
