The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has articulated a development-oriented vision for Andhra Pradesh that combines economic growth, public welfare, employment opportunities, infrastructure development, and improved governance. Its policy priorities have included initiatives aimed at connecting development with the needs of farmers, women, youth, entrepreneurs, and other sections of society.

A major aspect of this vision is people-centric development. The TDP-Jana Sena joint manifesto released for the 2024 Andhra Pradesh Assembly election included commitments covering welfare, employment, education, agriculture, infrastructure, and governance. These proposals reflected an approach that sought to combine social support with economic opportunities.

Agriculture and rural development form an important part of the vision. The manifesto included financial support for farmers, assistance for tenant farmers, irrigation-related measures, organic farming initiatives, and support for agriculture-based industries. Such measures are intended to strengthen rural livelihoods while creating opportunities for value addition and employment in agriculture-related sectors.
