A subserosal fibroid is a type of uterine fibroid that develops on the outer surface of the uterus. These noncancerous growths can vary in size and may grow outward into the pelvic cavity. While some women experience no symptoms, larger subserosal fibroids can cause pelvic pressure, abdominal bloating, lower back pain, constipation, frequent urination, and discomfort during physical activity due to pressure on nearby organs.
