Solum and EWQ have expanded their partnership at EuroShop 2026 to accelerate integrated digital communication solutions for retail stores, combining EWQ’s ScanToPair software with Solum’s hardware for electronic shelf labels (ESL), large-format e-paper screens and digital signage to create a unified in-store platform that keeps pricing, content and customer interaction synchronized across multiple touchpoints.
The expanded collaboration links EWQ’s ScanToPair solution with Solum’s Newton ESL and digital signage hardware, enabling seamless product and pricing data pairing via simple barcode scanning and automated updates across digital displays. This unified system helps retailers improve pricing accuracy, streamline operations and deliver a consistent shopping experience.
Under the agreement, Solum provides core hardware infrastructure including ESLs and display screens while EWQ delivers the software layer through its ScanToPair and EWQ ZONE platforms, built with a modular, microservice-based architecture. This setup allows retailers to manage pricing, content and customer-flow data across multiple in-store devices through a single, scalable interface.
The expanded partnership initially focuses on the Nordic region, leveraging EWQ’s strong regional presence, with further geographic and market expansion planned as collaborations mature. Retail executives say the combination of hardware and software in this unified architecture supports future-ready digital retail infrastructures while enhancing customer engagement and operational value.
Solum and EWQ are showcasing their integrated solutions at the Solum booth (Hall 6 / C58) during EuroShop 2026, demonstrating how the collaboration helps retailers build smarter, more connected stores.
