Every hand begins with forced bets called blinds. The player left of the dealer posts the small blind, and the next posts the big blind – this starts the action and builds the pot right away.

• Pre-flop: You get your two hole cards. Betting starts with the player after the big blind. Options include folding, calling the big blind, or raising.
• The Flop: Three community cards appear. Another betting round begins.
