Phenom reveals Agent Center inside AI and Automation Lab, unveiling a new dedicated hub for agentic AI at work as part of its expanded AI & Automation Learning Lab at IAMPHENOM 2026 giving HR, talent acquisition and management professionals hands-on exposure to advanced AI agents that automate multi-step workflows and enhance decision-making across hiring and people operations.

The expanded AI & Automation Lab returns to the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia from March 10–12, 2026, featuring more than 75 real-world HR use cases from industries such as healthcare, retail, financial services, manufacturing and hospitality designed to help attendees understand how applied AI and automation can reshape everyday HR tasks.

A Dedicated Hub for Agentic AI Innovation

At the heart of this year’s lab is the Agent Center, a specialised exhibit that puts a spotlight on agentic AI capabilities demonstrating how intelligent agents can partner with HR teams to orchestrate hiring workflows, surface decision-grade insights and take action on behalf of recruiters and hiring managers without sacrificing essential human judgment.

The Agent Center highlights a range of AI agents aimed at replacing manual coordination with structured automation. Examples include:

Voice Screening Agent: Conducts live phone and desktop interviews around the clock, adapting conversations based on role requirements and highlighting best-fit candidates.

Candidate Fraud Detection Agent: Identifies identity mismatches, AI-generated responses and imposter behavior, providing explainable insights and supporting human-in-the-loop review.

Intake Agent: Runs intake meetings with hiring managers to automatically refine job requisitions and launch stronger job descriptions.

Interview Agent: Extends recruiter capacity by deploying tailored AI-avatar interviews that evaluate candidates against role-specific benchmarks.

Sourcing Agent: Builds and nurtures candidate pipelines at scale by adapting outreach based on role type and talent profile.

Immersive Experiences Across the Talent Lifecycle

Beyond the Agent Center, the AI & Automation Lab gives attendees a station-by-station, hands-on view of how AI and automation integrate into key HR processes from candidate attraction and conversational sourcing to screening, scheduling and onboarding, as well as workforce planning and skills-based talent development.

The lab also introduces a Levels of AI & Automation Maturity Center, based on Phenom’s proprietary model that helps HR and talent leaders assess their current adoption levels and plan next steps toward a “future-ready” operating model by benchmarking intelligence and automation maturity across teams.

What This Means for HR Leaders

According to Phenom’s State of AI & Automation for HR: 2026 Benchmarks Report, a majority of organizations still show low maturity in applying AI and automation, and many HR professionals report limited knowledge of how to operationalize these technologies into everyday workflows.

By revealing the Agent Center and other applied use cases in a hands-on learning environment, Phenom aims to accelerate understanding of how AI agents can reduce busywork, automate complex tasks and deliver hyper-personalised experiences empowering HR teams to focus on strategic, high-value human interaction while models handle repetitive processes.
