On the first day of school there are many new and sometimes overwhelming experiences for children. Our teachers think about the little things they’ll need to know – how to use a water bubbler, where to find the toilets and where mum and dad pick you up. By preparing them for ‘big school’ they can walk into the first day of prep with confidence. Our university qualified early childhood teachers run an approved Queensland Government Kindergarten Program.
We will help them to develop foundational literacy and numeracy skills, through play, in line with the Early Years Learning Framework and carefully support their social and emotional development. The manager or a support team member may visit the service your child attends by direct request of the family, the service, or as a part of the educational program implementation. Victoria and some other states are expanding to include 3-year-old programs. Age requirements vary by state, but generally children access preschool in the year they turn 4 (for most states, the child needs to turn 4 by around April to June of that year). At Children’s Choice, we believe that early learning should be an extension of the home, a place where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to explore. We offer the convenience of long day care hours with the educational rigour of a government-approved kindergarten program. Long day care caters to children aged 6 months – 5 years, including government-approved 3-year-old & 4-year-old kindergarten programs. This is very convenient for working families whose other commitments mean they need care for more hours each week.
