Nara Lokesh Announces Rs 2,500 Crore BEL Defence Project in Sri Sathya Sai District

Andhra Pradesh is strengthening its ambitions in defence manufacturing with the announcement of a major investment by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) in Sri Sathya Sai district. According to the announcement by Minister Nara Lokesh, the central government-owned Navratna company will invest Rs 2,500 crore across 914 acres to establish a major defence manufacturing facility. The project is expected to create around 800 quality jobs and generate new industrial opportunities across the Rayalaseema region.
