Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to prepare a comprehensive vision plan aimed at transforming the state’s vast coastline into a major hub for economic growth, tourism, ports, fisheries, and industrial development. With a coastline stretching nearly 1,000 kilometers along the Bay of Bengal, Andhra Pradesh holds immense potential to emerge as one of India’s leading maritime and coastal economies.

During a high-level review meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for long-term planning that integrates modern infrastructure, environmental sustainability, employment generation, and global investment opportunities. The proposed vision plan is expected to focus on strengthening ports, improving beach tourism, expanding fishing harbors, developing coastal road connectivity, and creating smart urban centers along the coastline.

The initiative reflects the development-oriented approach of the Telugu Desam Party, popularly known as the TDP party, which has consistently prioritized infrastructure and economic modernization in Andhra Pradesh. Over the years, the TDP's contribution to the state’s development has been widely recognized in areas such as information technology, irrigation, roads, ports, and urban planning.
