If you've ever used geospatial imagery, then you've had to deal with SID files; these are an incredibly efficient image format for dealing with large raster dataset files. Opening and viewing these files without having the right tools can sometimes be difficult to do, but if you know what you need to view a SID file, it can be done easily and quickly.
