MEDITECH and Lifemed AI Partner to Bring Revenue Cycle Automation to Hospitals and Health Systems

MEDITECH, the electronic health record (EHR) vendor, and Lifemed AI, a non-generative AI healthcare technology company, have entered a formal partnership. Announced on October 20, 2026, the agreement makes Lifemed an Accelerator-level member of the MEDITECH Alliance program. As part of the deal, Lifemed will work directly with MEDITECH's sales and marketing teams to take its platforms to hospitals and health systems across the MEDITECH network.

The partnership centers on two Lifemed products. DeepClaim, the company's flagship revenue cycle automation platform, runs on a non-generative deep-learning neural network. It reviews every claim at the individual line-item level before submission, applies payer-specific rules and inference to fix problems on its own, and flags the remainder for human review. The goal is to prevent denials, automate revenue cycle workflows, and recover reimbursement that would otherwise be lost.

On the front end of the revenue cycle, Gateway is Lifemed's patient access and registration platform. It integrates directly with MEDITECH to automate eligibility verification, insurance discovery, and patient intake, so accurate payer information is captured at the point of service. Lifemed says this leads to fewer claim rejections, faster reimbursement, and a cleaner revenue cycle from the start.

Lifemed frames the deal around an imbalance in healthcare finance. Commercial payers have invested heavily in automated systems that adjudicate and deny claims, while many hospitals still depend on manual, staff-driven billing departments. By building DeepClaim into MEDITECH's ecosystem, the partners aim to give providers a comparable level of algorithmic sophistication on their side of the transaction. Lifemed also sees the partnership as a sign that revenue cycle automation is becoming foundational infrastructure.

Jeff Kimball, MEDITECH's Associate Vice President of Business Development, said he is pleased to welcome Lifemed to the Alliance program. He added that its non-generative AI technologies strengthen the MEDITECH EHR platform and give customers better financial visibility and higher operational productivity. Lifemed says DeepClaim can lift net cash revenue by as much as 24% while easing staff workload.
