Ladakh Bike Trip Cost 2026: What Every Group Rider Must Know
Author : Cosmic Scanner | Published On : 23 May 2026
Planning a Ladakh bike trip with your crew? The total cost usually sits between ₹20,000 and ₹60,000 per person for a 7 to 10 day ride. Where you land in that range depends on your bike, route, group size, and stay preferences.
Here is a clean breakdown of what you will actually spend on the road.
Bike Rental or Fuel Cost
A Royal Enfield Himalayan rental runs ₹1,200 to ₹1,800 per day in Leh. A standard 350cc model goes for ₹800 to ₹1,200. If you ride your own bike from Delhi, budget ₹4,000 to ₹6,000 in fuel for the full Manali-Leh stretch.
Groups of 3 to 4 riders who split rental costs save a decent chunk here.
Stay and Food
Simple guest houses along the route charge ₹400 to ₹800 per person per night. Camps near Pangong Lake cost more, around ₹1,200 to ₹2,500 per night with meals. Budget ₹400 to ₹700 per day on food if you eat at dhabas and local spots.
Permits
You need an Inner Line Permit for Nubra Valley, Pangong, and Tso Moriri. The permit costs about ₹400 to ₹500 per person per restricted area. Apply online before you leave or get it done in Leh on Day 1.
Best Routes for Group Riders
The Manali-Leh Highway is the most popular entry route. It covers about 490 km and crosses Baralacha La at 4,890 metres. The Srinagar-Leh Highway is smoother and better for first-timers.
Most group riders do the Leh-Nubra-Pangong circuit in 7 days. Add Tso Moriri to extend it to 10 days.

Quick Cost Summary
- Budget group rider: ₹20,000 to ₹28,000
- Standard: ₹30,000 to ₹45,000
- Premium (camps + guided): ₹50,000 to ₹80,000
May, June, and September are the best months. July and August are peak season so room rates and rentals go up. Roads after Rohtang close by late October.
One Last Tip
Acclimatise for at least one full day in Leh before you ride. Altitude sickness is real at 3,500 metres. Do not push on Day 1, no matter how eager your group is.
