Infobip Launches RCS BusinessOS to Help Operators Scale Business Messaging

RCS BusinessOS is Infobip's newly launched end-to-end solution designed to help mobile operators scale RCS for Business with greater ease. Built by Infobip, a global AI-first cloud communications platform, the offering gives operators a single operational layer to launch, manage, monetize, and run RCS services without having to build every piece of the stack on their own. Rather than stitching together separate vendors and tools, operators get one modular framework that brings the key functions together under a unified system.

The launch lands at a moment when RCS adoption is picking up speed worldwide, pushing operators to think beyond simply switching the channel on. They now need workable business models to go along with it. Brands, meanwhile, are looking for richer ways to engage customers through messaging, which is turning RCS into a real revenue opportunity for telecom operators rather than just a technical upgrade.

Four Layers Cover the Full RCS Lifecycle

RCS BusinessOS is structured around four built-in layers that operators can tailor to their own needs:

  1. Enable – Handles technical enablement, device provisioning, and ecosystem integration, covering onboarding across both Android and iOS devices.

  2. Control – Gives operators network-level visibility, traffic governance, and protection against spam and fraud, along with tools to manage operational policy.

  3. Monetize – Opens up flexible commercial models built on a CPaaS foundation, letting operators choose the go-to-market approach that fits their strategy.

  4. Operate – Provides ongoing managed services, operational support, agent onboarding, and lifecycle execution.

Together, these layers are meant to let operators run more of their RCS business within one common framework instead of juggling disconnected systems.

Dave Boddington, RCS Business Unit Head at Infobip, described RCS as shifting from early adoption into a mainstream business messaging channel, noting that the real question for carriers now is how to operationalize it at scale rather than whether to support it. He said RCS BusinessOS was built to give operators a production-ready operating model spanning enablement all the way through to monetization and daily operations.

A Growing Market Opportunity

Infobip points to Juniper Research projections showing global RCS business messages climbing past 485 billion by 2030, up from an expected 125 billion in 2026 — a jump of roughly 286%. That growth curve is a major reason operators are being pushed to adopt scalable infrastructure rather than piecemeal tools.

Infobip positions RCS BusinessOS as a departure from the fragmented state of the current market, where most existing solutions only address one piece of the puzzle, such as an Entitlement Server, messaging infrastructure, or MaaP management layer. By combining technical enablement, governance, commercial execution, and operations into one model, Infobip aims to give operators a more centralized role in business messaging while making onboarding and customer management simpler.

Alexandre Gavina, RCS Business Development Manager at Bouygues Telecom, pointed out that a decade of hands-on RCS work has shown that success depends on aligning multiple areas of expertise alongside heavy operational effort. He called a platform like RCS BusinessOS a genuine step forward, one that could help established operators scale more efficiently while giving newer entrants a simpler on-ramp to building RCS into a meaningful revenue stream.

Infobip has partnered with Google on RCS since 2018, and Google now provides RCS connectivity across more than 70 countries, including Tier 1 U.S. carriers. Infobip adds its own global market reach, local regulatory know-how, and existing operator relationships to that foundation — a combination the company says can help speed up onboarding and expand RCS deployments internationally.

The launch also builds on Infobip's existing standing in the RCS space, where the company has picked up recognition from Juniper Research as well as multiple ROCCO awards for RCS innovation. With RCS BusinessOS, Infobip is aiming to give telecom operators a structured, unified path for turning RCS for Business into a durable, scalable revenue channel.
