HMEL commemorates the 53rd National Safety Day across business locations

April 12, 2024, Bathinda: HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL) observed the 53rd National Safety Month under the theme of ‘Focus on Safety Leadership for ESG Excellence’ on 4th March-14th April, 2024 across business locations. This annual event, celebrated nationwide, underscores our commitment to promoting a culture of safety, health, and well-being among our workforce and stakeholders.

On this occasion, the National Safety Campaign was launched by Mr. A.S. Basu, COO, of HMEL with a flag hoisting and commitment pledge at Guru Gobind Singh Refinery. It serves as a poignant reminder of the paramount importance of safety of all at HMEL. At HMEL, safety is not just a priority but a core value for us. We believe that every employee has the right to a safe and healthy work environment, and we spare no effort in upholding this principle.

As part of our observance of National Safety Month, we organized various poster competitions, slogan, and video competitions on safety were also started. To acknowledge and appreciate the exemplary commitment to safety, we awarded individuals and teams who have demonstrated outstanding dedication to maintaining a safe work environment.

About HPCL-Mittal Energy Limited (HMEL)

HMEL is a joint venture between Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) and Mittal Energy Investment Pte Ltd, Singapore – part of the Lakshmi N Mittal Group. Both the joint venture partners hold a stake of 49% each in the company, the balance 2% is held by Indian Financial Institutions.
