1. Clubface Angle vs. Swing Path

According to modern launch monitor data (such as TrackMan and Foresight):

Clubface Angle at Impact: Responsible for roughly 75% to 85% of the ball’s initial launch direction. If the face is open at impact, the ball starts right of the target (for a right-handed golfer).
Swing Path: The direction the clubhead is traveling golf hit relative to the target line (in-to-out or out-to-in). The difference between your face angle and swing path creates curvature (draws or fades).

2. Smash Factor and Energy Transfer

Smash factor measures the efficiency of energy transfer from the clubhead to the ball:
