We focus on nurturing their confidence, making friends and social emotional growth while also supporting their abilities in reading, writing, counting, and thinking skills. Whether it’s building with blocks, practicing their first letters, or learning to share with friends, every experience is carefully designed to support your child’s development. Our highly-qualified teachers and educators build strong, respectful relationships with children and families, creating a sense of belonging and community. Families can trust their children are learning in safe, welcoming and inclusive environments that foster social, emotional, and cognitive growth. Our childcare centre consists daycare 3186 of 2 spacious rooms – the “Starfish Room” and the “Angelfish Room” and both are staffed by dedicated Early Childhood professionals. Our indoor environment is characterised by open spaces that provide children with opportunities to work on self-chosen and group experiences. These spaces support children’s emerging interests and allow them to demonstrate their innate creativity and curiosity – recognising them as active learners and decision makers. Our experienced and committed educators create engaging, play-based learning environments where children feel safe, curious and inspired. We believe that through play, children learn, grow and make sense of the world around them.
Bec and all the staff have been very friendly and accommodating to our family.
Afternoon tea is a time for children to come together in small groups and fosters a sense of belonging. Your baby’s lunch times will suit their needs, and with our open-door policy, families are welcome to enjoy lunch/bottle time with your baby. "Being able to work with children and watch them grow is the most amazing thing in the world."
There will be opportunities for children and families to take part in our excursion program. For older children, this includes visits to our local school, supporting a successful transition. Children arrive with engaging experiences set up for them and their friends of different ages to play with together, supporting collaboration and communication across age groups. You can speak with the team about what’s important for your child for the day and what happened the night before at home. Your baby will enjoy engaging in both our indoor and outdoor nursery environments with planned experiences like songs and story time, followed by morning tea.
Three welcoming centres in Brighton, Lenah Valley and Howrah — warm, home-like places where children feel safe, valued and excited to explore. The centre is overseen by a parent committee who ensure that the centre continues to run efficiently and smoothly. This includes being involved with activities such as fundraising, overseeing policies and procedures and general maintenance of the centre and gardens. Having parents closely involved in the day to day running of our centre creates a strong community feel that is highly valued by our families. Our flexible hours and inclusive approach ensure that your family’s needs come first, while your child receives a high-quality early learning experience every day.
We also offer a range of health and wellness benefits, including discounted gym memberships and access to an employee assistance program. We value a relationship based approach where children’s ideas and voices are at the centre of our educational approach. In the Reggio Emelia approach, children are the main initiators of the learning process. We then guide, listen, observe, question and encourage children to further their interests.

Country Kids Early Learning and Kindergarten recognise the traditional owners of the country where we live and work. We recognise and celebrate the diversity of Indigenous people and their enduring cultures and connections to the land and waters of South East Queensland. I have worked in the Early Learning and Child Care sector for more than 20 years, and been with Goodstart since its inception. During my years in the sector, I have worked as an educator across all ages ranging from birth to five, taking on roles as Team Leader, Assistant Director and now the newly appointed role as Centre Director.
