Children develop early literacy through storytelling, books, songs and meaningful conversations. Educators support children to explore language in many forms, including speaking, listening, viewing, drawing and writing, while building confidence communicating with others. Through my career, I have learned that every child is an individual with their own abilities, interests, and personality. As educators, it is our role to guide and encourage children to express themselves in safe and supportive environments, while respecting each child as a unique individual.
Our approach to food focuses on variety, balance, and mindful eating to support children’s healthy growth and development. At Story House Early Learning, families are welcomed into a nurturing, reassuring environment where transitions are supported with care and attention. More recently, I stepped into the role of Assistant Director and childcare near pakenh Educational Leader at Twinklekids Waurn Ponds.

Your child will be welcomed by our team of educators, who will ensure the morning transition from home to centre goes as smoothly as possible. On arrival, share information about your child’s specific needs for the day. Educators work closely with families to ensure each baby’s routines, comfort and developmental needs are supported. No matter what age and ability your child is when they take their first steps into our Childcare Centre Pakenham, we ensure that every child and family feels welcome, safe and secure.
We welcome families to come and share their special skills or talents with our children and educating teams as well. The 4/5 year old Discovery Program is a government-recognised kindergarten program. As part of the program, children join the Early Explorers (bush kinder) spend three hours of uninterrupted play on College grounds, using what nature has provided as learning materials.
I believe that for a child to excel, they must first feel celebrated for who they are. To achieve this, I place immense value on building strong, transparent relationships with our families. You are your child’s first teacher, and I view our role as a partnership—working hand-in-hand to support your child’s unique journey. Indoors, children learn in purpose-built spaces with interactive and natural resources. The rooms give children opportunities to explore ideas, take part in play-based learning and build skills through everyday experiences. Your child could also be eligible for up to 15 hours per week at no cost, thanks to the Victorian Government’s “Free Kinder” Program.

Goodstart Early Learning acknowledges all Traditional Custodians across Australia and recognises First Nations peoples’ continued cultural and spiritual connection to the land, sky and waterways that surround us. There are 0 enforcement actions issued for this service in the past two years. For 4-year-old kindergarten, your child must turn 4 years old by 30th April in the year they are attending. For 3-year-old kindergarten, your child must turn 3 years by 30th April in the year they are attending.
Integrated into our Pathways to School curriculum, it builds curiosity and care for nature—supporting children to become strong, capable, independent, and thoughtful learners for life. Our dedicated, long-standing educators and teachers create a safe, calm and supportive environment for children. Individual Learning Plans are developed in partnership with families, helping educators guide learning around each child’s strengths, interests and developmental goals. The Little Learners Toddler Program is designed to create an engaging environment that supports your toddler’s social and cognitive development. We provide a fun, play-based learning approach that engages their young and active minds within a safe and stimulating environment. At Aspire Pakenham childcare, our in-centre chef prepares fresh and nutritious meals every day, guided by the Australian Dietary Guidelines.

We use OWNA and KindyHub to share daily updates, observations, and photos directly with families. You’ll be able to see what your child has been learning, eating, and exploring, and message the team if you have any questions throughout the day. From its architecturally designed spaces to its thoughtfully crafted interiors, Eden Academy Pakenham is a boutique childcare and kindergarten on Army Road where beauty and purpose come together. Every room has been carefully considered, every detail designed to help children feel calm, curious and genuinely at home. Watching the children grow and learn is a privilege – and something I am fortunate to share with an excellent team of carers and educators, all of whom are experienced and qualified. Our schedules are always flexible, changing to meet the needs of the children on any given day.
I am proud to lead a nationally award-winning service (Goodstart Sustainability Award National Winner 2014). I have worked in the early learning sector for 23 years, the past 3 of which have been with Goodstart. Our in-house chef prepares breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and a late snack each day. The menu rotates regularly, includes input from families and caters for allergies, dietary requirements and cultural needs, including Halal and Kosher options.
