The team is there to support your family, and the more you can tell them, the better they can help. They will ask you for information from your doctor about how much your child takes and how often. I bring many years of experience across a range of leadership roles within early learning. Since joining Great Beginnings Pakenham, I have worked as a Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager, and now Centre Manager. Each role has given me the opportunity to develop new skills, explore different areas of the sector, and deepen my passion for ensuring children receive the best possible start to their education journey.

Every day is planned with either a visitor to share a hobby or craft skills, sports, science experiments, baking opportunities, sensory fun, and on and on. Through trust and mutual respect, we build meaningful relationships which connect families, children, educators and the community. Children regularly head out on community excursions to nearby locations and welcome special guests into the centre. Visitors such as librarians, emergency services and dancers bring new people, stories and experiences into the program. Children have space to learn and explore outdoors, with a bike track, climbing fort and vegetable garden.

Children are able to borrow books from the service to share at home with their families. We offer quality, long day-care programs, as well as accredited Kindergarten and Preschool programs. In our tailored 3 and 4-year-old Kindergarten programs, your child will engage in play-based learning, exploration, and endless fun. Our program is designed around the interests of children to allow them to discover, challenge themselves, and take risks. Our Transition to School program helps children build confidence, independence, and readiness for the next step. As educators, we are committed to continuous growth, refining our skills to deliver high-quality early childhood education for every child.
We understand that navigating the Child Care Subsidy can be tricky, especially for families new to child care. Our passionate teachers and educators deliver the Early Years Learning Framework through Community Kids’ innovative play-based learning program, which covers key curriculum areas. Families eligible for the Child Care Subsidy can now access a minimum of 3 days per week of subsidised early learning and care. It’s the perfect time to discover a place where your child can learn, grow and belong. We also reach out to parents by keeping them up-to-date on everything that happens at their centre. Every member of our teaching community values parent input for all stages of care, from day-to-day supervision through to the long-term goals and outcomes for children.
Popular dishes like Spaghetti Bolognese Pasta, Chicken Vegetable Curry with Rice and Chicken Hokkien Noodles with Vegetables, are amongst the children’s favourites, making each class a delicious adventure! As part of our commitment to fostering healthy habits and a love for fresh food, all Story House services have introduced the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden Program (SAKGP). This hands-on initiative connects children with growing, harvesting, preparing and sharing fresh, seasonal food.
