During this time, children will learn vital skills and set foundations that will prepare them for schooling and later life. Early childhood education focuses on the essential developmental milestones, skills, and concepts that children achieve during this period which include physical growth, social, emotional, and cognitive development. We believe in providing children with quality early education in which they will develop lifelong skills. I began working in early childhood education in 1999 and joined Great Beginnings Pakenham in 2014.
Fresh, nourishing meals prepared daily by an in-house chef help children grow strong, and build healthy relationships with food. Our Transition to School program helps children build confidence, independence, and readiness for the next step with gentle support. I’m passionate about giving kids the best start in life, and I find it incredibly rewarding to watch them grow and learn during such vital years.
I believe that for a child to excel, they must first feel celebrated for who they are. To achieve this, I place immense value on building strong, transparent relationships with our families. You are your child’s first teacher, and I view our role as a partnership—working hand-in-hand to support your child’s unique journey. Indoors, children learn in purpose-built spaces with interactive and natural resources. The rooms give children opportunities to explore ideas, take part in play-based learning and build skills through everyday experiences. Your child could also be eligible for up to 15 hours per week at no cost, thanks to the Victorian Government’s “Free Kinder” Program.

Throughout my career, I’ve held various roles, including Inclusion Support, Assistant Educator, Lead Educator, Sustainability Leader, Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager, and now Centre Manager. My passion for early education stems from the opportunity to be creative, make a meaningful impact, and build strong community relationships. I joined Aspire because the organisation's values closely align with my own. Aspire’s Step into Prep program is designed for four-year-olds to confidently prepare for primary school in a supportive and stimulating environment. Building on skills developed in earlier years, the program focuses on independence, communication, and critical thinking. I later transitioned into my current role as Area Manager, where I focus on service excellence, team empowerment, and continuous improvement.
These areas give children room to ride, climb, garden, move their bodies and enjoy active play throughout the day. At FiRST we believe that all children are unique and valuable members of our society.Every child is a capable learner, active in their own discovery and journey to foster and enhance their education and development. Our sustainability program promotes environmental awareness and responsibility among the children through hands-on experiences with our veggie garden and worm farm.

Additionally, our programs actively promote the message of environmental consciousness and sustainability. Create great memories for your kids by choosing stimulating and exciting things to do. Families consistently describe Story House Early Learning as a vibrant, home like community where children settle quickly, build confidence, and develop independence.
