A. Acclimatization and AMS Prevention:

1. Acute Mountain Sickness (AMS) is a real risk when ascending rapidly from Delhi’s sea level. To prevent AMS, you will spend at least 24 hours at an intermediate altitude like Manali.

2. Drink plenty of water and consult a doctor regarding preventive medication such as Diamox.

B. Mobile Connectivity:

Only BSNL and Airtel networks sometimes work in the Zanskar region, with long stretches of zero connectivity — making it a perfect opportunity to completely unplug from the outside world.
