A bourbon with a wine-cask finish

Wine people pay attention to barrels. French or American oak, new or used, how long the wine sat in it. A wine-cask finish gives them something familiar to look for in a glass of bourbon.

Rockpile starts with a corn-led mash bill, plus rye and malted barley. It spends 60 months in American oak before it goes anywhere near a wine cask, and the finish after that is a short one.
