Bedding Set Manufacturer: Checks Beyond Fabric Colour

Wholesale bedding quotes become misleading when “set” means different contents to different factories. Ask a bedding set manufacturer to specify each item, fabric and finished size before comparing prices.
Define exactly what a set contains: duvet cover, flat or fitted sheet and pillowcases. Set composition varies across markets; list each pillowcase and sheet rather than relying on the word “complete”. State finished mattress and duvet dimensions rather than only regional names like queen or king. Mattress depth is just as relevant as nominal bed size for a fitted sheet that must stay on overnight. Compare fibre content, weave and weight using the same laboratory method. Prewash samples to check shrinkage, seam twist and colour transfer. Closure tests should include the movement of a washed duvet, not just a zipper sliding on a clean swatch.
Inspect zipper, envelope and button closures for snagging and wash durability. Test print placement so a pattern repeats correctly across pillowcases and duvet panels. Print repeat and sewing allowances can make adjacent pillowcases look mismatched if the layout is not signed off. Specify dye lot consistency and a sign-off system for replacement batches.
Choose retail packaging that protects the fabric without excessive bulk or misleading imagery. Ask to see laundering results for the fabric and dye combination actually being ordered. Confirm care labels and textile testing requirements for the destination market. Measure an actual finished set after pressing and packing, not just the cutting chart. Translate care labels and fibre declarations to the destination market and check them before the retail cartons are printed. Price the whole specification including inner bags, carton counts and inspection sampling.
