Back on our own feet again (after years in wheelchairs)

Once again being up on our feet (after many years of being in wheelchairs) is extremely exciting, yet at the same time terrifying. In the first instance our bodies are just taking everything in again; it may only be small paces to begin with, and they may need to check they can keep upright and stable—like a baby!

Over time, though, and with help, small paces will turn into leaps and bounds, and all the feelings will be amazing. The feel of confidence and knowing we can now walk and perform the things we love is amazing!
