Asian Markets Feel "Heavy Stress" Due to Strait of Hormuz Issue

Asian markets are expected to move weakly on Monday after global sentiment worsened. Pressure arose as Iran re-closed the Strait of Hormuz over the weekend, while European markets closed mostly lower earlier and Wall Street was inactive due to the Juneteenth holiday.
Market concerns were also fueled by uncertainty regarding ceasefire efforts between the US and Iran in the Middle East.
The cancellation of talks in Switzerland followed renewed attacks between Israel and Hezbollah, with Iran subsequently accusing the US of violating the agreement, as one of the key conditions included a cessation of hostilities by Israel.
Crude oil is likely to rebound after falling sharply last week, while the Australian dollar is trading around $0.701.
