I was impressed enough that I will place another order soon. Where an RRP (Recommended Retail Price) is shown, it is the manufacturer’s recommended retail price for that product. The Luggage Direct Price is our current selling price on this website. At Love Luggage, we know that everyone is different. That's why we offer one of the biggest varieties of luggage sets in Australia, with backpacks, bags and wallets to suit every aluminium carry on suitcase personality. Two removable divider pads with spacious pockets offer versatile packing options. Keep smaller items organised in the pockets, or remove the dividers entirely to create extra room for larger belongings, making your suitcase adaptable to every type of journey. In addition to being more natural, aluminum is considerably more durable than most people’s polycarbonate hard-sided luggage. Tapping the side of these cases feels like knocking on a knight’s shiny, protective armor, whereas tapping polycarbonate feels like you’re playing the bongos.
This product offers excellent value for your investment. I ordered 2 cabin cases and one 28” case a little longer to get delivered but I have them and they are great. Customer service was excellent and kept me informed of what was happening with my luggage.
It’s beautifully made without going quite as industrial as the Sterling Pacific, and there are some clever details I wish more luggage brands would copy. With aluminum cases, I also look at how the shell holds up to real travel. Does the frame still line up properly after a few trips? I also pack them full to see how easy they are to close, because unlike polycarbonate or soft-sided luggage, there’s very little give when you need just a bit more room. Every suitcase recommended here has traveled with us.
I’ve taken it to Mykonos, used it for weekend trips, and packed it for a week-long ski trip with a weekender alongside it. I’ve managed to fit five sweaters, three pairs of pants, underwear, and the usual extras inside. So while 34 liters isn’t huge, in practice I’ve rarely found it too small. I particularly like the slow-release grab handles.
Eight Hinomoto SilentRun wheels — precision-engineered in Japan — roll near-silent across terminals and cobblestones alike. TSA-approved locks and anti-theft SBS zippers secure your belongings through every inspection. A 5-year warranty (2 years complimentary, extendable to 5 on registration within 30 days) covers the trolley system, wheels, and zippers. A polycarbonate shell reinforced with an anodized aluminum frame, designed for elevated durability and refined organization.
Every one of our suitcases comes with a limited lifetime warranty. We stand by the quality of every July product with unmatched warranty commitments. All of our luggage have a lifetime warranty on manufacturing faults. We dispensed with the traditional outer zippers and outfitted the Hybrid Collection with a high-grade aluminum frame at its core, securely riveted to the polycarbonate shell. Two latches with integrated TSA-Accepted locks provide an added layer of security, while giving you quick access to your suitcase contents without needing to pull a zipper around the entire case.
"There has hardly been any item that has ever exceeded expectations for me. I am obsessed with details and perfection, and this case is the most beautiful, well engineered item you will ever see." 5ZCT3 is made from a blend of aluminum and magnesium, then processed with precise pressure and heat to ensure consistent strength and quality in every sheet. Very happy with the purchase, the suitcase is very beautiful and high quality.
At $459.99, the Gibraltar currently costs more than the MVST TREVA. LEVEL8 does throw in a four-piece packing cube set and luggage tag with the suitcase, which sweetens the deal a little. Still, if I had to choose between the two, I’d buy the TREVA. Aluminum body, aluminum frame, aluminum wheel housings, aluminum trolley housing, full-grain Italian leather handles, and more than a hundred rivets holding the whole thing together. It’s a stunning piece of industrial design, and when you have it in front of you, you can see where the money went. The Carl Friedrik Aluminum Carry-On is the most elegant aluminum suitcase here, at least to me.
Monos now makes a separate full-aluminum collection, but I haven’t tested that one. I’ve tested this one, and after five years, it’s still one of my favorite suitcases. Its metallic finish and zipperless aluminum frame make it easy to lump into the same category, but the shell is polycarbonate, reinforced with aluminum around the frame and corners. The LEVEL8 Gibraltar is probably the most overlooked aluminum suitcase in this guide.
