8171 Web Portal: Check Your BISP Payment Online by CNIC

The 8171 web portal is the official online platform of Pakistan's Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), where registered beneficiaries check their quarterly payment status using their CNIC. For the October to December 2026 quarter, the payment is Rs 14,500 per beneficiary, released phase-wise by district.

To check your status on the portal, open 8171.bisp.gov.pk in your mobile browser, enter your 13-digit CNIC number without dashes, complete the captcha, and submit. The screen shows whether your payment is ready, in process, or if your record needs a dynamic survey update. The second free method is SMS: type your CNIC and send it to 8171 from any mobile network.

A few facts matter. BISP has not announced any official start date for the current quarter; dates circulating on social media are rumors. The increased quarterly amount of Rs 18,000 begins in January 2027, not before. Cash withdrawals now carry an Rs 280 fee at agents and ATMs, so beneficiaries should count their money before leaving the counter.

If the portal shows 'record not found', first confirm the CNIC was typed correctly without dashes. If the record needs a dynamic survey, visit the nearest BISP tehsil office with your original CNIC; no agent or middleman is needed and no fee is charged for the survey. Beneficiaries who changed their mobile SIM should update their number at the BISP office so SMS alerts reach them.

The only official channels are the 8171 SMS number, the website 8171.bisp.gov.pk, and the helpline 0800-26477. Never enter your CNIC on any other website using the 8171 name, and never pay anyone who promises to 'release' your payment early.
