The greatest ODI batsman in cricket history, Virat Kohli, is currently fighting for his spot in the only format he continues to play. Just a couple of years ago, he created history by scoring 765 runs in a single World Cup edition, the most by any player in a single tournament. During that World Cup, he also became the first batsman to complete 50 ODI centuries, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 49. Kohli also became the second-highest run-scorer for India in the Champions Trophy.

However, after that, he has not played a single international match. In between, he announced his retirement from Test cricket, which led to various speculations about his future.
