The longest six in the Indian Premier League is 125 meters, which was hit by former South African all-rounder Albie Morkel. Playing for Chennai Super Kings against Deccan Chargers in IPL 2008, he hit a 125-meter long six off former Indian spin bowler Pragyan Ojha. He made this record at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. This record will be difficult for any batsman to break in the future. Big hitters like Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Kieron Pollard, MS Dhoni, Rohit Sharma, and AB de Villiers have played in this league, but Morkel's record is still alive. Former Indian fast bowler Praveen Kumar is second on this list with a 124-meter-long six. He hit this six against the Mumbai Indians in 2013. At that time, he was a part of Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). He hit this six off the ball of former Sri Lankan veteran bowler Lasith Malinga. Praveen Kumar played for 5 IPL teams in his IPL career. He played for Punjab Kings, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, Gujarat Lions, Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians. He took 90 wickets and scored 340 runs in his IPL career. He played his last IPL match in 2017 for Gujarat Lions. He is considered one of the best swing bowlers in Indian cricket history. 

3. Adam Gilchrist (122 meters)

Former Australian veteran wicketkeeper batsman Adam Gilchrist has played IPL for Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab in his IPL career. He is third on this list, who hit a 122-meter six against Charl Langeveldt of Royal Challengers Bangalore at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium in Dharamshala during IPL 2011. Adam Gilchrist has played for 2 teams in his IPL career. He played for Deccan Chargers and Kings XI Punjab. He scored 2069 runs, with 2 centuries and 11 half-centuries. Under his captaincy, Deccan Chargers has won the IPL 2009. 

4. Robin Uthappa (120 meters)

Former Indian batsman Robin Uthappa is fourth on this list with a 120 meter six. He hit a big six against Dwayne Bravo of Mumbai Indians in IPL 2010.  Robbie was playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore this season. This strike was described as a huge six which went above the concrete roof of the Brabourne Stadium. Robin Uthappa has played for 6 teams in IPL 2025. He has played for MI, PWI, RCB, KKR, RR and CSK. West Indies’s former destructive batsman, Chris Gayle, popularly known as Universe Boss, hit a 119-meter six against Pune Warriors India in 2013. In that match, his cricket score was unbeaten 175 runs with the help of 17 sixes in just 66 balls. Thanks to his innings, RCB scored 263 runs with the loss of 3 wickets, after batting first.
