Introduction to laser cutting machine

Laser cutting machine technology uses the energy released when a laser engraver beam hits a sheet metal surface. The sheet metal is melted and the slag is blown away by the gas. Because the laser power is so concentrated, only a small amount of heat is transferred to other parts of the sheet metal, causing little or no deformation. Blanks of complex shapes can be cut with great precision using lasers, and no further processing is required after the cut blanks. The laser source usually uses a carbon dioxide laser beam with a working power of 500 to 5000 watts. Because of the lens and reflector, the laser beam is concentrated in a small area, so the power level is lower than that required by many electric home heaters. The high concentration of energy allows rapid local heating to melt sheet metal.

Laser cutting machine features

1. High efficiency.
General laser cutting machine is equipped with a number of CNC worktables, the whole cutting process can be all CNC. In the process of operation, just change the NUMERICAL control program, can be suitable for cutting different shapes of parts, can be used for two-dimensional cutting and three-dimensional cutting.

2. Laser cutting speed is fast
The power of 1200W Green laser pointer can cut 2mm thick low carbon steel plate, cutting speed up to 600cm/min; For 5mm thick polypropylene resin plate, cutting speed up to 1200cm/min. Laser cutting materials do not need to clamp fixed.

3. laser cutting quality is good
Laser cutting incision is narrow, both sides of the incision are parallel to the surface, the dimensional accuracy of the cut parts can reach ±0.05mm. The cutting surface is smooth and beautiful, and the surface roughness is only dozens of microns. Even laser cutting can be used as the last step without machining, and parts can be used directly. The cutting precision is high, the geometric shape of the cutting joint is good, and the cross section shape of the cutting joint is a relatively regular rectangle. Comparison of laser cutting, oxy-acetylene cutting and plasma cutting methods is shown in Table 1. The cutting material is low carbon steel plate 6.2mm thick.
