BYD's heavyweight appearance at the 2022 World Robot Conference

The 7th Beijing World Robot Conference (WRC 2022) was held at Beijing Yizhuang International Convention and Exhibition Center from August 18-21. BYD's Energy Storage and New Battery Division (hereinafter referred to as "BYD") brought a variety of heavyweight LiFePO4 products to the event.
 


Co-hosted by the Beijing Municipal People's Government, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the China Association for Science and Technology, the World Robot Conference is the largest, highest profile, and most international conference in the field of robotics in China. The conference brings together the wisdom of global experts, the world's top enterprises, and the latest technological achievements, and is of great significance to the innovation and entrepreneurship in the field of robotics and intelligent manufacturing in China.
 


BYD, as a leader in intelligent manufacturing, presented its new battery in the service robot pavilion, which attracted a large number of users to visit and understand.

"Intelligent lithium battery, empowering robots". BYD is based on new energy and has been deeply engaged in the battery field for 25 years, with 100% independent research and development, design, and production of batteries, and has become the industry benchmark in battery technology, quality, intelligent manufacturing, and production efficiency. Currently, BYD has developed a full range of standardized battery system solutions with voltage platforms covering 24V and 48V and battery capacities covering 10Ah-200Ah for hotels, restaurants, hospitals, buildings, and other scenarios, indoor distribution, outdoor logistics vehicles, commercial cleaning robots, AGVs, special robots, and other fields through in-depth research into service robot segments.

 


The lithium iron phosphate batteries for service robots in this exhibition are made of deeply customized vehicle-grade lithium iron phosphate cells, which fundamentally eliminate safety hazards such as the internal short circuits of the cells. Self-developed BMS can real-time status monitoring, active safety warnings, and active protection, to eliminate safety accidents caused by overcharging and other improper use. The battery pack adopts exclusive technology of multiple protection design to inhibit the thermal diffusion of the battery pack, creating a three-dimensional and all-around multiple safety protection design of the battery cell, BMS, and battery pack to ensure a safer and more reliable battery throughout its life cycle.
